Siem Reap

You guessed it, another bus ride, this time from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, which only took about 6 hours and went quite quickly (even with serious hangovers)!

Ally making himself comfy in the aisle, and Pen taking one for the team on the baby plastic chairs!

We arrived at the bus station only to find a dude with a board, stating Penny's name, 4xpeople and the guesthouse we had been at! We successfully avoided him even though we were the only whities on the bus, and we got some other guys to take us to their "local" which turned out to be lovely.

The guesthouse had an awesome upstairs bar/restaurant and dvd player, so we took advantage of the bean bags and good food, and watched some movies while the sun set, which was a great idea cos we had a crack of dawn start the next morning!

Our tuk tuk came to get us at about 4:45 and we made our way to Angkor Wat to spend the day checking out the temples.

Us being real tourists, taking photos of the Chinese tourists!
Sue just being Sue!!!!
Compulsory team photo... before the team crashed!

Meerko enjoying the tranquility and serenity!!

Wannabe Tomb Raiders!!
That night we went for dinner at a restaurant with live crocodiles! Very cool - think it was called Dead Fish for anyone who goes there.

On the move AGAIN. This time it was the nightmare trek back into Thailand, to get to Koh Pha Ngan for the Half Moon Party the next night! We left Siem Reap at 6am in a private taxi, and made it into Bangkok by 3pm in time to book another sleeper bus cos the sleeper trains were fully booked!
Having local food on the side of a railway! Sue and I spoiled ourselves later and had massages to prepare us for the long journey.
